There are over 250 interview questions available in 20 interview

and then begin relating these hypotheses to pertinent Interview
questions. |

EXAMINE THE PATIENT
There are 18 exam tools that make over 425 physical and neurological
exams available. Real heart and breath sounds are presented with
each case. Some cases even feature digital video presentations.
Again, students are asked to relate their hypotheses to pertinent
Exam items in order to begin to narrow their differential diagnosis
list. |
ORDER LABS
There are 32 common labs with over 400 other labs and procedures
available for each case. X-rays, MRI, and Nuclear imaging, along
with EKG's, PFT's and Echo's are available for many cases. Students
are prompted to offer an interpretation of the above results
and then have the option of viewing a professional consult. |
 |
 |
DIAGNOSE THE PATIENT
Students use the data they have collected throughout the case
to conclude with a final diagnosis. Students are asked to select
the most likely diagnoses from the differential diagnosis list
they have compiled. Students are then asked to justify their
decision and state a level of confidence about their selected
diagnosis. |
MANAGE THE PATIENT
Students can order management for the patient in 8 categories,
including nursing care, medications, counseling, and follow-up. |
 |
 |
IMMEDIATE SELF-ASSESMENT
Students are given the opportunity to view their answers against
faculty criteria for each case. Data saved from the student's
record is categorically assessed in respect to diagnosis, considered
items, justifying items, competing items, thorough, and management.
Students are also briefed on their cost efficiency in respect
to lab work. |

Detailed evaluation and Class Comparison
This detailed tool allows the instructor to evaluate many facets
of the students performance and then relate them to the class
as a whole. The instructor is able to view student notes, answers
to questions, and the differential diagnosis list. The instructor
is able to obtain immediate feedback concerning learning issues
that were possibly overlooked or not obtained by the students. |
