The Interview

The Interview section contains more than 250 questions you may "ask" the patient. Questions are divided into 20 different categories. In most cases, you will be able to select questions from only the Present Illness questions until after you enter your initial list of hypotheses. Click the link below the Present Illness category to access the other categories.

The categories contain specific patient information (Present Illness, Psychosocial, Medical History, and Lifestyles) followed by a review of systems and a General category. If you cannot find the question you want to ask, there is a keyword search feature to aid you.

To "ask" a question, select the category and then the question. You may select the question and click the Ask button, or simply double click on the question.

To exit the Interview, click the Exam or Lab button. You may use Notes, Learning, or SOAP to record your thoughts or issues that arise during your investigation. You may also click on the Management button to enter an Interim Patient Management item.
